What is Moorings4u?

Moorings4u provide a platform where boaties wanting to use a mooring can find available moorings to rent. We believe in providing boaties access to use moorings casually, when they are not occupied by the owner, to better support use of the waterways while positively minimising environmental damage caused by anchors. The primary service Moorings4u provide is casual short-term stay for boaties who are looking for peace of mind when they anchor overnight in a destination area.

How does it work?

Firstly, whether you are a mooring owner or a boatie looking for a mooring you need to register with Moorings4u. All you need to do is click on the Login/Register button in the menu at the top of the page and enter your details. You will then be sent an email where you are required to confirm your details. If you did not receive an email, please check your junk folder first. Any issues please get in touch with us at info@moorings4u.com . Click on the Login/Register button again and now enter your details. Once that step is completed the Login/Register button will be replaced with your name.

What do I do next if I am a Mooring/Jetty Owner?

Hover over your name in the menu at the top of the page and a dropdown menu will appear. First, click on My Profile and then follow the steps to Connect with Stripe. Moorings4u have partnered with Stripe who manage all financial transactions and store your personal details including your bank account. You are also required to upload a photo of either your passport or drivers license to prove you are who you say you are. This step is designed to also eliminate any money laundering opportunities.

Once you have successfully connected with Stripe you can now enter your mooring(s). Hover over your name in the menu at the top of the page and click on My Moorings. Then click on the Add Mooring button, fill in all the details and your mooring is now ready to be rented. Each time your mooring has been booked you will receive a confirmation email. Once the booking has been completed the money will be automatically transferred into your nominated bank account.

What do I do next if I am a Boatie looking for a Mooring/Jetty?

Hover over your name at the top of the page and click on My Boats. Then click on the Add Boat button, fill in all the details and you are now ready to book a mooring or jetty. Be sure to tick the box under default in the My Boats main page. Ticking that box means the website will automatically filter out any moorings that do not match your boat. For example, if your boat is 10m in length all moorings that cannot handle a boat 10m+ in length will be removed from your search.
